I am a comic artist, digital painter, web developer, and chef. I grew up with the X-Men and Batman. Some of my inspirations are Jim Lee, Chris Bachalo, and Freddie Williams III.
Growing up my first aspirations were to be a 1) Comic book artist and 2) a Chef.
I picked up my first Batman, X-Men and Spider-Man comics in the early 90's from an Osco Smith Drug Store and was enamored by the art and stories. I loved drawing already at that point and spent hours and hours of my 6th grade year drawing complete knock-off characters of those in the comics I had purchased.
My realization of this dream to create comics was fulfilled by first (a since lost) Frankenstein VS Scorpion-Man comic book from 7th grade.
I created a graphic novel series called Safe Harbor over the last 10 years. You can check some of it out at my website or as safeharborcomic.blogspot.com. It is a hybrid-genre of Vampires and Superheroes set in a post-apocalyptic world were the strongest super heroes were turned to vampires and decimated the population. 3 out of the 5 part series are available for purchase.
The TV chef Graham Kerr inspired me to become a chef early on, then later TV chefs like Emerill Lagasse and Mario Batali. Now I love Marimoto, Eric Ripert, and David Chang.
